Our normal diary of events of Bingo evenings, meals with entertainment, both held at Old Fold Manor Golf Club and summer day trips has been suspended during the Coronavirus 19 lockdown.

However, all guests living independently are being offered a telephone befriending service and fortnightly meals delivered to the home by our volunteers. The meals will consist of either fish and chips, a casserole or salad accompanied by a dessert. Our good friends at Totteridge Millhillians Cricket Club have kindly offered to cook meals on an alternate fortnightly basis.

Movement to Music

This is really a special Keep Fit class for elderly people. We run two classes. One at St. Stephens Church Hall, Bells Hill, Barnet that has been going for more than 10 years. The second class has just completed its first year and is held at the Open Door Centre, St Albans Road, High Barnet.

Our qualified teachers carefully grade the movement exercises to the needs of the class and in time to popular music. After the exercises the group have a cup of tea and a chat for almost as long. Clearly the social aspects of the class form a vital part of the weekly meetings. New members are always welcome but there may be a waiting list. For further details just phone The Puddenecks Class Managers, Jack Williams on 020 8363 1537 for St. Stephens Hall or Bryan Harrison on  07939246857 for for Open Door Centre.
