The Club was formed in 1958 by a group of Sunday lunch time drinkers meeting in the ‘Swan with Two Necks’ which was then situated in High Road, Whetstone, N20. The aim was to help older people in Barnet who were in need and that remains our charitable purpose to this day.

The group decided to meet once a month, partake of a Steak and Kidney pudding and then conduct a meeting. The combination of the venue and the menu resulted in the choice of the name ‘Puddenecks Club” for the charity. Sadly the pub is no longer with us (the site is now a block of flats) and when it closed the sign of the ‘Swan with two Necks’, which hung outside the original pub, was donated to the club and it is still to be seen at our meetings.

The Club has flourished since those early days and currently has over 40 members and for the past 65 years has held its’ meetings at The Old Fold Manor Golf Club, Hadley Green, Barnet.
